Meet Caity
Caity is a licensed speech-language pathologist, devoted educator, and loving mother, who is on a mission to empower individuals across all age groups to express themselves, advocate for their ideas, and embrace their unique identities. With an unwavering belief in communication as an inherent human right, Caity passionately champions the idea that every form of expression is valid and deserving of respect.
Growing up on Long Island, New York, Caity's love of the ocean and fond memories of beach visits shaped her early experiences. Her love of nature led her to the mountains of Boulder, Colorado, where she pursued a degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences. After graduation, she served as a paraeducator at TLC Learning Center in Longmont, as well as in the Boulder Valley School District, laying the foundation for her commitment to inclusive education.
Caity's deep curiosity about exploring diverse communication experiences propelled her to earn a graduate degree from the University of Maryland, which paved the way for her to become a school-based speech language pathologist in the Montgomery County School District. After three years there, she returned to Colorado and she dedicated nine years to the Boulder Valley School District, where she continued to be an advocate for communication empowerment.
Through her experiences in education, Caity came to recognize the transformative power of cultivating strong therapeutic relationships. Armed with evidence-based strategies, she understood that creating a safe, nurturing, and affirming environment was pivotal for optimal progress. Her journey as a speech-language pathologist led her to place inclusivity of diverse minds and bodies at the forefront of her practice, understanding that each unique individual contributes to the rich tapestry of human experience.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Caity finds joy in traversing the landscapes of Colorado and beyond in her camper vana ccompanied by her husband, daughter and pup. In her moments of leisure, you'll find her immersed in a good book, exploring local restaurant and breweries, pedaling around town on her bicycle, or simply unwinding in a cozy hammock.
